Senior Android Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join DAZN's Mobile Engineering team in Hyderabad, India. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high‑performance Android applications that power our global sports‑streaming platform. The engineer will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, mentor junior members, and drive technical decisions to deliver world‑class streaming experiences to millions of users.

• Design and develop Android applications using modern Android technologies and best practices
• Build scalable, maintainable, and well‑tested solutions
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and deliver new features
• Drive technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions
• Review code and mentor other engineers
• Investigate and resolve performance, stability, and reliability issues
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, tooling, and development processes

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin
• Experience with Coroutines and asynchronous programming
• Strong understanding of Android architectural patterns including MVVM, MVP, and Clean Architecture
• Experience with Jetpack libraries and modern Android development practices
• Hands‑on experience with ExoPlayer and/or Media3
• Experience working with multi‑module Android projects
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger and Hilt
• Solid understanding of mobile application design patterns and software engineering principles
• Experience working with REST APIs
• Knowledge of testing practices and CI/CD workflows
• Experience with code reviews and collaborative software development
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work in an international environment
