Senior Android Engineer

Join DAZN’s Mobile Engineering team as a Senior Android Engineer to build world‑class streaming experiences used by millions of sports fans worldwide. You will design, develop, and maintain large‑scale Android applications, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, mentor peers, and drive architectural decisions to enhance performance, reliability, and user experience.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, maintainable, and well‑tested Android applications
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver new features
• Drive technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions
• Review code, mentor junior engineers, and conduct code reviews
• Investigate and resolve performance, stability, and reliability issues
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, tooling, and development processes

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Coroutines, and asynchronous programming
• Deep understanding of Android architectural patterns (MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture)
• Experience with Jetpack libraries, ExoPlayer/Media3, and multi‑module Android projects
• Proficiency with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger and Hilt
• Hands‑on experience with REST APIs, testing practices, and CI/CD workflows
• Strong problem‑solving, debugging skills, and effective communication in an international environment
• Experience with video streaming technologies, DRM solutions (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay), live/OTT platforms, Chromecast/Google Cast, video analytics, feature flags (e.g., Firebase Remote Config), and RxJava
