Python Developer, AVP

Python Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud‑native solutions on Google Cloud Platform within the Thought Machine Vault Core ecosystem. Works independently and collaborates with cross‑functional teams on medium and large‑scale projects, contributing to all stages of the software development lifecycle.

• Hands‑on Python/Pentaho programming
• Support adoption of continuous delivery, automating building, packaging, testing and deployment of applications
• Participate in agile development projects and automation project deliveries
• Learn current data landscape and existing Python/Spark/Pentaho programs to make enhancements
• Stakeholder communication
• Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle
• Analyze user requirements to define business objectives
• Define application objectives and functionality
• Develop and test software
• Identify and resolve technical issues
• Create detailed design documentation
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging
• Software upgrades and maintenance
• Migration of out‑of‑support application software

• Proficiency in Python (core concepts, OOP, exception handling, unit testing with PyTest or Unittest)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of Thought Machine Vault Core and smart contract engineering
• Experience with API development and integration (GET, POST, etc.)
• Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and ORMs such as SQLAlchemy
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)
• Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab)
• Strong problem‑solving skills and Agile experience
