PhonePe is hiring an Engineering Manager for the Merchant Platform team building the APIs, SDKs, and tools used by 35M+ merchants — from kirana stores to Reliance Retail.
You will lead a team of 15 engineers, own quarterly OKRs, and partner with product and business to deliver the next generation of merchant payment infrastructure.
- 8+ years engineering with 3+ years as Engineering Manager
- Strong distributed systems background
- Demonstrated track record of hiring and growing engineers
- Fintech or high-scale consumer product experience
- Data-driven leadership with focus on metrics
- Excellent cross-functional communication
- Lead Merchant Platform engineering team of 15 engineers
- Own quarterly delivery OKRs and technical roadmap
- Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews
- Drive system design and architectural decisions
- Hire and grow engineering talent
- Partner with product and business on feature strategy
