Technical Lead Data Engineer

IQVIA is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Lead Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of data-driven solutions in a hybrid work environment from Kochi. This role combines technical leadership, architecture decision-making, and people management, requiring expertise in database technologies, data warehousing, Python, and AI/ML concepts.

• Lead and deliver multiple concurrent data and AI-driven projects within scope, schedule, and budget
• Own the full project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
• Serve as the single point of contact for assigned projects, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders
• Drive Agile methodologies to enhance delivery efficiency and adaptability
• Manage and mitigate risks, dependencies, and issues, ensuring timely resolution
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and people management, guiding architecture decisions aligned with enterprise data strategy
• Drive adoption of AI/ML solutions to support business goals
• Ensure best practices in code quality, data governance, performance tuning, and security
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers, developers, and analysts, including performance management and career development
• Allocate resources effectively across projects in a matrix environment and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation

• 8-13 years of work experience in data engineering
• Strong expertise in database technologies (Snowflake preferred), database design, development, and optimization
• Proficiency in Python programming and Python-based data engineering and automation solutions
• Experience in data engineering, data pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks, and DWH with data modeling
• Experience in ETL development using PowerCenter, Data Stage, AWS preferred or any other ETL tool
• Strong capabilities in SQL development on large-scale data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, SQL Server, etc.)
• Understanding of SQL table structure, DDL, data warehousing technology, ETL processes, facts, dimensions, star and snowflake schemas, and SCD
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts and implementations in business contexts
