Staff Android Engineer

Join Truecaller as a Staff Android Engineer to design and develop the next generation of our high-performance SDK. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to turn ideas into reality, writing robust code that operates seamlessly across 150+ device types and impacting millions of users globally.

• Take ownership of features and ensure a high level of user experience
• Contribute actively to the Android engineering discipline by driving best practices in architecture, modularization, testing, and workflows
• Participate in and contribute to the team's Agile practices
• Champion privacy, security, and reliability in all Android features and data interactions
• Identify performance bottlenecks and design low-latency, highly efficient solutions
• Utilize modern Android development tools like Jetpack and Kotlin to build scalable, maintainable code
• Leverage Ad tech APIs, SDKs, and mediation platforms to optimize ad delivery and monetization

• 8+ years of experience in Android development with Java, Kotlin, Coroutines, and Dependency injection
• Extensive, hands-on experience with modern Android application development tools, libraries, and UI components
• Familiarity with ad tech concepts, platforms, and best practices such as mediation and bidding
• Proficiency in designing and architecting high-scale Android applications
• Sound knowledge of testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Robolectric, and Espresso
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, gRPC, and Git version control
