Software Engineer - QA

We are seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our Tank IoT platform. In this role, you will execute and support testing efforts across cloud and mobile solutions, validating functionality from device connectivity through telemetry processing, data accuracy, APIs, reports, and system integrations.

• Execute automated and manual testing for the Tank SaaS platform, including mobile applications, IoT data ingestion pipelines, and firmware.
• Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, define test scenarios, and identify defects early.
• Develop automation using tools such as Playwright, Karate, and Appium.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions.
• Perform functionality, regression, integration, E2E, smoke/sanity, negative, and exploratory testing.
• Design and maintain scalable UI, API, and integration automation frameworks.
• Validate backend services, REST APIs, database, event/message flows, and third-party integrations.
• Identify automation opportunities and improve overall regression coverage and execution time.
• Drive Quality Engineering and promote Shift-Left practices across the development lifecycle.

• 3+ years of professional software testing and QA experience for SaaS and mobile platforms.
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Karate, or Appium.
• Programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
• Experience with API testing (REST/SOAP) and database testing (SQL).
• Knowledge of manual testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.
• Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps/Jenkins/GitHub Actions), and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
