Software Engineer I (Java Backend, Go Preferred) (India)

Precisely is a global leader in data quality, data enrichment, and location intelligence, building AI‑driven solutions for enterprise customers. We’re looking for a Software Engineer I with strong Java and Go skills to design, develop and maintain scalable backend services, contribute to AI‑assistant workflows, and collaborate across cross‑functional teams.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java/Go applications
• Write unit tests and implement API automation tests
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and other developers to deliver product features
• Independently analyze and resolve software issues in collaboration with technical staff
• Address customer‑reported issues and contribute to product improvements and enhancements
• Contribute to design optimizations, performance tuning, and future technical initiatives
• Proactively identify risks and support early mitigation strategies
• Improve code quality and address non‑functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and reliability
• Perform code reviews and help improve engineering processes
• Design and implement agentic AI workflows, including multi‑step autonomous agents, tool use, and LLM orchestration within enterprise Java applications; leverage AI coding assistants as a standard part of the development workflow

• BE/BTech/MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related technical field (equivalent work experience accepted)
• 2‑4 years of software development experience with a solid product development background
• Strong understanding of design and architectural patterns with hands‑on application experience
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs for modern, scalable web applications
• Proficiency in Java and Go
• Experience with cloud databases such as MongoDB
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including writing SQL scripts and stored procedures
• Proficiency with AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) and ability to use them effectively for writing, reviewing, and refactoring production‑quality code
• Experience with AI‑assisted coding tools and familiarity with LLM APIs or agentic workflows; understanding of responsible AI principles including bias, security, and explainability
