Senior Data Analyst, 12 months contract, Mumbai

Fitch Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for a 12-month contract position to join the Data Operations Group in Mumbai. This role supports the transformation of BMI Risk Indices, focusing on the automation of data collection, time-series analysis, and modernization of calculation methodologies within a new system.

• Manage the onboarding, validation and maintenance of Risk Hub datasets across global markets
• Collect, analyse and maintain large-scale time-series datasets and underlying sources
• Support the migration of data, metadata and calculation methodologies to modern platforms using Python and APIs
• Build, validate and enhance forecasting models and analytical processes to improve data quality
• Partner with Research, Product and Engineering teams to deliver data products and platform enhancements

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics or a related discipline
• Experience working with macroeconomics, time-series or other large multi-market datasets
• Strong Python and Excel skills, including data manipulation, web scraping, and API integration
• Proven experience applying data quality controls, validation, and documentation standards
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against project deadlines
