Infrastructure Cloud Engineer

Infrastructure Cloud Engineer role focuses on ensuring platform stability through patching, vulnerability remediation and automation across a 100% AWS estate. The engineer will build and maintain Ansible playbooks and AWX job templates, leverage Terraform for infrastructure‑as‑code, and collaborate with the team to improve security and resilience.

• Join the existing team and become familiar with the environment and processes
• Take ownership of patching volumes and vulnerability remediation activities
• Develop and enhance Ansible playbooks, AWX job templates, roles, inventories and workflows to automate patching and remediation at scale
• Maintain and improve the Ansible‑based toolset for enterprise‑wide patching
• Contribute to infrastructure reliability, security, resilience and automation across the AWS estate
• Gradually expand remit as experience and understanding of the environment grow

• 5+ years of hands‑on infrastructure experience
• Proven enterprise patching and vulnerability remediation skills
• Strong knowledge of Ansible and Ansible AWX
• Experience with AWS and Terraform
• Linux/Windows infrastructure administration
• Automation scripting in Python, Bash, PowerShell
• Familiarity with APIs, JSON/YAML, Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Active participation in Agile ceremonies
