Nokia India's 5G Core R&D team in Chennai is hiring a Software Developer to build cloud-native 5G Core network functions — AMF, SMF, and PCF — for Nokia's global telecom operator customers.

  • 3–5 years C++ or Go software development
  • Cloud-native microservices with Kubernetes and Docker
  • 3GPP 5G Core network function specifications (AMF, SMF, PCF)
  • REST and HTTP/2 for SBI interface development
  • Telecom protocols: NGAP, NAS, and PFCP
  • Linux systems programming
  • Develop AMF or SMF 5G Core network function features
  • Implement 3GPP N2, N4, and N11 interface protocols
  • Write comprehensive unit and integration tests
  • Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
  • Debug 5G Core interoperability issues with operator test beds
  • Contribute to Nokia CloudBand 5G Core product delivery
