Nykaa is looking for a seasoned Tech Lead to spearhead the design and development of its next-generation microservices architecture. You will lead a team of 6-8 backend engineers working on catalog, inventory, and order management systems that handle millions of transactions daily.

This is an architectural leadership role where you will own technical decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate directly with product leadership to shape Nykaa's engineering roadmap.

Lead backend microservices design for catalog and order management
Define and enforce architecture standards for your team
Drive technical roadmap discussions with product and engineering leadership

7+ years of backend engineering experience with 2+ years as a tech lead or architect
Expert-level knowledge of Java or Go with microservices architecture
Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, SQS)
Deep knowledge of distributed systems patterns (SAGA, CQRS, Event Sourcing)
Strong experience with PostgreSQL and Redis at scale
Experience in e-commerce or high-transaction systems is preferred

Own the technical architecture for backend microservices
Lead design reviews and set coding standards for the team
Mentor and grow junior and mid-level engineers
Collaborate with product managers on feature feasibility and technical trade-offs
Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance
