Coforge (formerly NIIT Technologies) is hiring an experienced Linux System Administrator to manage and maintain Linux server infrastructure for a large UK-based travel technology client. You will be responsible for RHEL/CentOS server administration, performance tuning, and 24x7 operational support for business-critical systems.
The role involves working with a distributed team across India and UK, executing changes via ITSM processes, and ensuring high availability of travel reservation and GDS integration systems.
- Administer RHEL/CentOS servers in a travel technology client environment
- Manage NFS, Samba, Apache/Nginx, and application server configurations
- Monitor system health and respond to performance alerts
- 3-5 years of Linux system administration experience
- Strong RHEL/CentOS administration skills (user management, LVM, networking)
- Experience with shell scripting (Bash) for automation
- Knowledge of web server administration (Apache, Nginx)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix)
- RHCSA certification preferred
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts including night shifts
- Administer production RHEL/CentOS server environments
- Manage disk, network, and performance capacity
- Execute change requests following ITIL change management process
- Respond to system alerts and resolve incidents within SLA
- Write automation scripts to reduce manual operational tasks
