Software QA Engineer, Test Automation

Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our growing Quality Center of Excellence.

In this role, you will design, develop, and execute automated tests across Siemens software products in a multiplatform environment, combining strong software testing fundamentals with programming skills to improve product quality, test coverage, and release confidence.

• Design, implement, maintain, and execute automated tests for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios
• Work with Product Managers, Developers, and Quality Engineers to identify risks, define test cases, and develop effective automation strategies
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide rapid feedback and detect defects early
• Perform API testing using RESTful services and validate application data using SQL queries
• Execute automated and functional tests, analyze failures, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to drive resolution
• Enhance existing test frameworks, scripts, and utilities to improve maintainability, efficiency, and reliability

• 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing, with hands-on experience in test automation
• Strong programming or scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or a comparable language
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, PyTest, or JUnit
• Experience with API testing and database validation, including RESTful APIs, SQL queries, and tools like Postman or Swagger
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, TDD, and BDD
