Software QA Engineer

Renesas is hiring a Software QA Engineer with strong software and hardware testing experience to work on hands-on automated and manual testing of customer-facing software and hardware integrations. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to validate market-leading digital controller solutions powering AI, client, and server applications.

• Work with global teams to generate test requirements and define test methodologies.
• Design and execute automated and manual test plans for software, hardware, firmware, and IC solutions.
• Debug software and hardware issues, focusing on IC functionality and root cause analysis.
• Analyze test results, report defects, and support issue resolution with development and customer-facing teams.
• Drive test automation, validation framework improvements, and QA best practices.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of Software QA experience, including testing software integrated with hardware and firmware.
• Proficiency in Python or another object-oriented language for GUI test automation using tools such as Qt Squish or SmartBear Test Complete.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills for complex hardware/software issues.
• Familiarity with lab test equipment, measurement tools, JIRA, and version control.
