Software Engineer II - Android

We are seeking a Product‑oriented Android Software Engineer II to lead the development of high‑performance mobile experiences for our consumer app. The role involves building new features across onboarding, chat, calls, engagement, retention, and monetization, partnering closely with product, design, backend, and growth teams, and mentoring junior engineers. The candidate will also drive code quality, architecture improvements, and AI‑powered productivity tools.

• Own Android development for onboarding, chat, calls, engagement, retention & monetization
• Build scalable, high‑performance features with Kotlin
• Partner with Product, Design, Backend & Growth to ship intuitive experiences
• Improve architecture, code quality, reliability & release processes
• Mentor engineers & raise the bar for Android practices
• Use AI tools for coding, debugging, testing & productivity

• 3-5 years of hands‑on Android development experience
• Strong background building apps for product companies
• Kotlin mandatory
• Solid grasp of Android fundamentals, architecture, lifecycle, APIs, performance, and release management
• Strong product sense and ability to translate requirements into polished experiences
• Comfortable in fast‑paced, high‑ownership environments
• Builder mindset with strong execution and problem‑solving skills
