Ola's Platform Engineering team is hiring a Software Engineer with strong Go skills to build the ride dispatch, driver matching, and geo-routing microservices handling millions of daily trips across India, UK, and Australia.
- 3–5 years backend engineering with 2+ years Go
- gRPC and Protocol Buffers
- Geospatial systems: H3, PostGIS, or similar
- Redis Geo and Pub/Sub for real-time matching
- Kafka event streaming
- Kubernetes and Docker
- Strong algorithms and graph traversal for routing
- Build and scale ride dispatch and driver matching services in Go
- Develop geospatial algorithms for real-time driver location indexing
- Implement ETA prediction service integrations
- Write comprehensive Go unit and integration tests
- Optimise matching latency to sub-100ms for seamless ride experience
- Participate in on-call rotation for dispatch services
