StepSecurity is hiring an early-career Software Engineer with basic Go or Python skills who wants to work in the exciting space of software supply chain security. You will contribute to open-source tools used by thousands of GitHub repositories to prevent CI/CD attacks.
This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to join a fast-growing DevSecOps startup at a very early stage. You will get mentored by world-class security engineers, contribute to widely used open-source projects, and grow rapidly.
- Contribute to Go-based GitHub Actions security tools
- Build new security checks for CI/CD pipeline analysis
- Write tests and improve documentation for open-source security tools
- 0-1 year of software development experience (internships count)
- Basic Go or Python programming knowledge
- Understanding of Git and GitHub workflows
- Interest in cybersecurity or DevSecOps
- Strong problem-solving aptitude
- Open-source contributions are a big plus
- Implement new features for StepSecurity's GitHub Actions security tools in Go
- Write unit and integration tests for security detection logic
- Contribute to open-source repositories on GitHub
- Review and improve technical documentation
- Participate in security research discussions
