Juspay is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build the payments orchestration platform that routes 50M+ daily transactions across UPI, cards, wallets, and BNPL for India's top merchants.
You will work in Haskell and PureScript on mission-critical financial systems, joining a team of elite engineers solving hard distributed systems problems in functional programming.
- 5+ years backend engineering experience
- Strong functional programming — Haskell, PureScript, Scala, or Erlang
- Distributed systems design and fault tolerance patterns
- PostgreSQL and Redis at scale
- Apache Kafka event-driven architecture
- Deep interest in type systems and correctness guarantees
- B.Tech/M.Tech from IIT/NIT or equivalent
- Design and build payment routing and orchestration services in Haskell
- Own services end-to-end from development to production monitoring
- Drive reliability and correctness improvements in payment flows
- Conduct rigorous code reviews with a focus on correctness
- Mentor junior engineers on functional programming principles
- Contribute to Juspay open-source Haskell and PureScript projects
