Cashfree Payments is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Payments Core team to build the transaction processing and settlement engine handling 500M+ annual payments across UPI, NEFT, IMPS, and international remittances.

You will design and own critical payment infrastructure used by India's top startups and enterprises.

5+ years backend engineering experience
Expert Java or Go for high-throughput financial systems
Distributed transactions and eventual consistency patterns
PostgreSQL and Redis at scale
Apache Kafka for payment event streaming
PCI-DSS compliance experience
RBI payment system guidelines knowledge

Design and build payment routing and settlement microservices
Implement idempotent payment APIs for zero duplicate transactions
Build reconciliation systems for daily settlement with banks
Lead technical design reviews for payment infrastructure
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for payment-critical services
Mentor junior engineers on fintech engineering best practices
