PhonePe's Insurance team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build the digital insurance purchase, policy management, and claims processing systems for PhonePe's rapidly growing insurance marketplace serving 500M+ users.
- 5+ years Java or Python backend engineering
- Insurance technology platform experience preferred
- PostgreSQL and Redis for insurance data management
- Kafka for insurance policy lifecycle event streaming
- IRDAI digital insurance regulations compliance
- API integration with insurance company partner systems
- Build insurance product discovery and purchase microservices
- Develop motor, health, and life insurance policy management APIs
- Design instant claims initiation and status tracking workflows
- Integrate with 20+ insurance company partner APIs
- Ensure IRDAI compliance in all insurance product features
- Mentor junior engineers on insurtech engineering
