Pine Labs is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Payments Core team to build the transaction processing and merchant settlement systems handling 600M+ annual transactions across POS, e-commerce, and BNPL products.
You will own critical financial services infrastructure used by India's largest retailers including Reliance, Tata, and McDonald's.
- 5+ years backend engineering experience
- Expert Java or Kotlin for high-throughput financial systems
- Distributed transaction management and idempotency patterns
- PostgreSQL and Redis at scale
- Apache Kafka for payment event streaming
- PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance engineering
- EMV chip and contactless payment knowledge preferred
- Design and build transaction processing and routing microservices
- Implement idempotent payment settlement APIs
- Build real-time merchant analytics and reconciliation systems
- Lead technical design reviews for payment core team
- Drive PCI-DSS compliance across payment infrastructure
- Participate in 24x7 on-call for payment-critical services
