Razorpay's core payments team is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design and build the APIs and distributed systems that process crores of rupees in transactions every day across UPI, cards, wallets, and BNPL.
You will own critical payment services end-to-end, collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, data, and security, and contribute to defining the technical strategy for the Payments Platform.
- 5+ years backend engineering experience
- Expert knowledge of Java or Go
- Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed systems
- PostgreSQL and Redis expertise
- Kafka or event-driven architecture experience
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of payment systems and fintech domain
- Design and build high-throughput payment processing APIs
- Own services end-to-end including deployment and monitoring
- Lead technical design discussions
- Review code from peers and mentor junior engineers
- Ensure 99.99% uptime for payment-critical services
- Collaborate with product and security teams
