MakeMyTrip's Search & Pricing team is hiring a Senior SDE to build the flight and hotel search ranking, pricing intelligence, and dynamic fare prediction systems serving 35M+ travel customers.
- 5–8 years backend engineering with Elasticsearch or search systems
- Expert Java or Scala for high-throughput search services
- Elasticsearch and Solr search relevance engineering
- ML ranking models for travel search results
- Kafka and Spark for real-time pricing data pipelines
- Travel or e-commerce search experience preferred
- Build flight and hotel search ranking and relevance systems
- Develop real-time fare pricing and availability APIs
- Design ML-based travel search personalisation
- Reduce search P99 latency for peak holiday booking periods
- Lead technical design reviews for search and pricing platform
- Mentor junior engineers on search engineering
