Juspay is seeking a Senior Python Developer to build high-performance payment APIs and data processing services. You will work on systems that handle millions of payment events per day with strict latency requirements and zero tolerance for data inconsistency.
Our engineering culture prioritizes clean code, strong testing, and thoughtful system design. You will contribute to core infrastructure used by India's largest banks and payment apps.
- Design and implement Python microservices for payment orchestration
- Build idempotent, retry-safe API layers for financial transactions
- Work on real-time event streaming pipelines for transaction data
- 4-7 years of Python backend development experience
- Expert knowledge of FastAPI or aiohttp for async Python services
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
- Understanding of distributed transaction patterns (2PC, SAGA)
- Experience with Kafka or Pulsar for event streaming
- Fintech or payments domain knowledge is a plus
- Strong testing discipline — unit, integration, and contract tests
- Design and build payment processing microservices in Python
- Write and maintain comprehensive automated test suites
- Contribute to architectural decisions for new payment products
- Debug production issues under time pressure
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
