Citi is seeking a Senior Java Engineering Lead for the Market Ops Data Platform to lead business analysis, architecture, project management, and engineering functions. In this senior management role, you will oversee engineering scrum teams implementing a next-generation microservice-based data management platform, driving strategic architecture, developer experience, and modern engineering practices.
- Manage multiple teams of professionals and conduct personnel duties such as performance evaluations and hiring
- Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management, and planning
- Evolve the architecture of the platform and improve the developer experience for adopting teams
- Ensure modern engineering practices are applied, including BDD, TDD, Trunk Based Development, CI/CD, and blue-green deployments
- Apply AI-augmented delivery practices to increase delivery safety and speed
- Ensure compliance with security patches, risk management policies, and automated operational processes
- 15+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in Java Spring Boot microservice development
- Strong architecture and coding skills
- Experience in engineering management
- Working knowledge of financial services
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
