Senior Front End Software Engineer

Qualys is looking for a passionate, highly motivated Senior Frontend Engineer to design, build, and scale high-performance web applications for enterprise customers, with strong React and JavaScript skills and curiosity about AI-assisted engineering.

• Design and maintain scalable, performant UIs using React and modern JavaScript
• Build and maintain reusable component libraries and design systems
• Contribute to frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimization
• Participate in code reviews, uphold best practices, and mentor junior engineers
• Own CI/CD workflows and manage source control
• Track work in Jira with clear technical scoping
• Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted development tools to improve velocity and quality
• Champion accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and responsive design
• Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, production-ready UI

• JavaScript (ES6+) with strong fundamentals and asynchronous patterns
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with React (hooks, component composition, performance optimization, state management)
• Experience with Node.js for building or maintaining backend services, REST APIs, or BFF layers
• Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3 (semantic markup, responsive layouts, CSS-in-JS or utility-first frameworks)
• Familiarity with Jira, Jenkins, Bitbucket/Git, and build tools like Vite and/or Webpack
• Practical exposure to AI-assisted development and LLM coding assistants
• Knowledge of micro-frontend architectures and Module Federation
• Experience writing unit test cases using Vitest, React Testing Library, Mocha, or Chai
