upGrad's Data Platform team is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to build the learner analytics data lakehouse processing billions of learning events from 3M+ learners — powering personalisation, course recommendations, and learner success analytics.
- 5+ years data engineering experience
- Apache Spark and Databricks
- Kafka for real-time learner event streaming
- AWS: S3, Kinesis, and Redshift
- dbt for data modelling
- Python and strong SQL
- EdTech or consumer product data engineering experience preferred
- Build Databricks lakehouse pipelines for learner video and assessment events
- Develop Kafka streaming pipelines for real-time learner engagement tracking
- Design dbt semantic models for learner analytics and recommendation features
- Optimise Redshift query performance for learner success dashboards
- Monitor data quality and pipeline SLAs
- Mentor junior data engineers on lakehouse best practices
