Zepto is hiring a Senior Android Developer to build and scale features on its 10-minute grocery delivery app used by millions of customers in India's major cities. The app needs to be blazing fast, extremely reliable, and work well on a wide range of Android devices.

You will work on time-critical features like real-time order tracking, slot selection, and smart search that are central to Zepto's promise of 10-minute delivery. Android performance optimization at the budget device level is key.

Lead Android feature development for order management and real-time tracking
Optimize app startup time and rendering performance for budget Android devices
Implement smart search and personalized product recommendations in the app

5-8 years of native Android development experience with Kotlin
Expert Jetpack Compose and Android Jetpack library skills
Experience with performance profiling and optimization on Android
Knowledge of background sync, push notifications, and deep linking
Experience with Google Maps SDK and real-time location tracking
Expertise in Coroutines and Flow for asynchronous Android programming

Lead Android feature development and own the Android architecture
Identify and fix performance bottlenecks affecting app startup and scroll performance
Mentor junior Android developers and review code
Collaborate with product and backend on API design for mobile features
Drive adoption of Jetpack Compose across the Android codebase
