Amazon India is looking for an experienced QA Lead to own quality engineering for its India-specific checkout, payments, and seller tools. You will lead a team of 6-8 QA engineers, define testing strategy, and drive the quality processes that ensure Amazon India's reliability for millions of customers and sellers.
The role requires both hands-on automation skills and the leadership ability to run a QA team in an extremely high-velocity delivery environment. Amazon ships code thousands of times per day and your team ensures it's reliable.
- Lead and grow a team of 6-8 QA engineers for India marketplace features
- Define test strategy and automation frameworks for payment and checkout flows
- Drive shift-left testing practices within product engineering teams
- 7-10 years of QA engineering experience with 2+ years in team leadership
- Expert automation skills in Java or Python (Selenium, Playwright)
- Experience building QA processes in a high-velocity CI/CD environment
- Strong knowledge of API testing and service-level testing strategies
- Experience with performance testing and chaos engineering
- E-commerce or payments domain experience is preferred
- Build, mentor, and develop the QA engineering team
- Define and own quality strategy for assigned product areas
- Implement test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration
- Measure and improve quality metrics: defect escape rate, automation coverage
- Collaborate with product and engineering managers on quality-focused delivery
