PhonePe is hiring a Head of Data Science to lead the AI and data science organisation — building fraud detection, payment personalisation, credit risk, and merchant intelligence AI for 500M+ users and 450,000+ merchants.
- 12+ years data science with 4+ years as Head of Data Science or VP AI
- Fintech, payment, or consumer financial services AI leadership
- Track record of scaling data science organisations to 30+ scientists
- Deep expertise in fraud detection, personalisation, and credit risk AI
- Strong influence over C-suite business strategy through data
- PhD from IIT/IISc or top global university preferred
- Define PhonePe AI and data science vision and research agenda
- Lead team of 25+ data scientists and ML engineers
- Build payment fraud, personalisation, and credit AI at 500M+ scale
- Drive AI product strategy across payments, insurance, and wealth
- Present AI strategy to PhonePe CEO, board, and investors
- Publish PhonePe AI research at top ML and fintech conferences
