Unacademy is seeking a detail-oriented Mobile QA Engineer to ensure the quality of its learning app used by 50+ million registered learners for UPSC, JEE, NEET, and other competitive exam preparation. App quality is critical — any defect during a live class affects thousands of students simultaneously.
You will execute manual and automated tests for iOS and Android apps, including live video streaming, quizzes, and payment features. Exposure to mobile testing tools like Appium is essential.
- Design and execute test cases for Unacademy's iOS and Android apps
- Test live class streaming, quiz, and doubt-solving features
- Build Appium-based automation for regression testing
- 2-4 years of mobile testing experience (iOS and Android)
- Experience with Appium for mobile test automation
- Knowledge of manual testing for mobile-specific features (gestures, push notifications, offline mode)
- Familiarity with Charles Proxy or Fiddler for API and network debugging
- Experience with Firebase Test Lab or similar mobile testing platforms
- Good understanding of video streaming quality testing
- Create and execute test plans for mobile app releases
- Build and maintain Appium automation suites for Android and iOS
- Perform exploratory testing of new features before production release
- Coordinate with product and dev teams on defect resolution
- Conduct regression testing for every release cycle
