Observe.AI is offering a Machine Learning Internship for students working on conversational AI and speech processing research. You will work on real NLP/ASR challenges — call transcript analysis, intent detection, and speaker diarization — under the mentorship of senior AI researchers.
This is a hands-on research internship where you will work with real contact centre data, build proof-of-concepts, and potentially publish findings. Strong performers are frequently converted to full-time ML engineer roles.
- Research and prototype NLP models for conversation intelligence
- Experiment with speaker diarization and emotion detection models
- Analyze call transcripts and identify patterns for product improvements
- Final year or recently graduated M.Tech/M.Sc student in CS, AI, or Signal Processing
- Good Python and PyTorch/TensorFlow skills
- Understanding of NLP and/or speech processing fundamentals
- Research orientation — able to read and reproduce papers
- Prior NLP or ASR project work or coursework
- Implement and evaluate NLP models for conversation analysis
- Run experiments comparing model architectures and data augmentation strategies
- Present research progress in weekly team meetings
- Write technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations
- Collaborate with full-time researchers on proof-of-concept development
