Junior Android Developer

Assist senior engineers in building Android applications, writing clean code, unit testing, debugging, and documenting software. Communicate progress to stakeholders, resolve defects, estimate work, participate in code reviews, and support legacy Android and Java applications.

• Design, code, unit test, debug, and document Android programs.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Diagnose and resolve software defects.
• Meet assignment deadlines with minimal reminders.
• Provide work breakdown using standardized estimation techniques.
• Participate in code design and product reviews.
• Support legacy Android and Java applications as required.

• Good written and verbal communication in English.
• Experience with Java or Kotlin and Android mobile development.
• Proficiency with Android Studio and XML layouts, especially Constraint Layout.
• Knowledge of the full software development life cycle.
• Familiarity with version control using Git.
• Experience with distributed cloud computing and modern software architectures.
• Understanding of object‑oriented application architecture.
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with mobile server‑based cloud services.
• Knowledge of SQLite and Realm databases.
• Experience with HTTP/HTTPS, REST, JSON, and basic web development.
