Khatabook is hiring a Full Stack Engineer to build the web platform powering 10 million small business owners. You will work on features like business ledger management, inventory tracking, online payment collection, and lending eligibility — products that are transforming financial access for Indian MSMEs.
You will contribute across the frontend (React) and backend (Node.js) with end-to-end ownership of product features. Khatabook moves fast, ships frequently, and values engineers who think like product owners.
- Build React dashboards for MSME business management features
- Develop Node.js APIs for ledger, inventory, and payment collection
- Implement WhatsApp and SMS communication workflows
- 2-5 years of full-stack development experience
- Strong React and Node.js skills with TypeScript
- Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL
- Understanding of message queues (SQS or RabbitMQ)
- Experience with AWS cloud services
- MSME, fintech, or SMB product experience is a plus
- Own and ship full-stack product features end-to-end
- Build RESTful APIs and React components with clean abstractions
- Ensure features work on low-bandwidth mobile browsers
- Write automated tests and maintain high code quality
- Collaborate with product managers and designers on feature design
