Groww is looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead a team of 8-12 engineers working on Groww's trading and portfolio platform. You will be responsible for technical leadership, delivery execution, and people development for a high-impact product team.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, demonstrated experience managing engineering teams, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment. You will report to the VP of Engineering and collaborate closely with product leadership.
- Manage and mentor a team of backend, frontend, and data engineers
- Define technical roadmap in collaboration with product managers
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality features with minimal technical debt
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in management
- Deep technical expertise in distributed systems and backend development
- Track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams
- Strong experience with agile delivery methodologies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Prior experience in fintech or trading platforms is a significant advantage
- Hire, onboard, and develop engineers on the team
- Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews
- Lead technical architecture decisions for your product area
- Coordinate with product, design, and QA teams for sprint execution
- Manage cross-team dependencies and risks
