Leica Biosystems is seeking a Database Administrator - MS-SQL to manage, maintain, and optimize database infrastructure. In this role, you will oversee SQL Server installations, performance monitoring, disaster recovery strategies, and security compliance.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server databases while tracking and applying patches and CUs
- Monitor database performance using SSMS, Profiler, and AWS Compute Optimizer, configure alerts, and resolve issues
- Implement and document disaster recovery strategies and ensure regular testing
- Ensure security compliance, support audits, and respond to SQL-related support tickets per SLA
- Automate routine database tasks
- Experience with MS-SQL Server installation, upgrading, and maintenance
- Proficiency in database monitoring tools such as SSMS, Profiler, and AWS Compute Optimizer
- Familiarity with disaster recovery strategies and security compliance standards
