Swiggy's Data Science team is looking for a Data Scientist to help solve complex business problems around demand forecasting, delivery optimization, and customer personalization. You will work with massive datasets generated by millions of orders placed every day.
The role involves end-to-end ownership—from problem framing and data exploration to model development, deployment, and monitoring. You will collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Build predictive models for delivery time estimation and demand forecasting
- Develop recommendation systems for restaurant and menu personalization
- Run experiments and analyze A/B test results
- 2-5 years of experience in data science or machine learning roles
- Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch or TensorFlow)
- Experience with SQL and big data tools (Spark, Hive, BigQuery)
- Solid understanding of statistical modeling and experimental design
- Experience deploying ML models in production environments
- Strong communication skills for presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Develop and maintain machine learning models for core business use cases
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models at scale
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and present actionable insights
- Design and evaluate A/B experiments
- Mentor junior data scientists on the team
