Delhivery's Data Science team is hiring a Data Scientist to build route optimisation, network design, and demand forecasting models for India's largest logistics network spanning 18,000+ pin codes.
You will apply operations research and ML to reduce cost-per-shipment while maintaining SLA adherence for 2M+ daily packages.
- 3–5 years data science experience
- Operations research: linear programming, vehicle routing (VRP)
- Python: scikit-learn, OR-Tools, scipy
- Geospatial analysis with GeoPandas or similar
- SQL and Spark for logistics datasets
- A/B testing for route experiment evaluation
- Build VRP and routing optimisation models for last-mile delivery
- Develop demand forecasting models for network capacity planning
- Run controlled route experiments and measure impact
- Collaborate with operations teams on model deployment
- Present insights and model ROI to senior leadership
