Flipkart's AI/ML team is hiring a Data Scientist to build and improve product recommendation and personalisation models that influence billions of rupees in monthly Gross Merchandise Value.
You will work with petabyte-scale datasets, run rigorous A/B experiments, and collaborate with engineers to deploy models that directly affect the shopping experience of 400M+ customers.
- 3–5 years data science or ML experience
- Strong Python: pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM
- Proficiency in SQL and Apache Spark
- Experience with recommendation systems or ranking models
- A/B testing and statistical hypothesis testing
- Model deployment with MLflow or similar
- M.Tech or PhD in Statistics, CS, or Mathematics preferred
- Build and iterate on product recommendation and ranking models
- Design and analyse large-scale A/B experiments
- Develop data pipelines for feature engineering
- Present insights and model results to product stakeholders
- Improve model monitoring and retraining workflows
- Collaborate with data engineers on platform improvements
