Wadhwani AI is hiring a Data Scientist specializing in Computer Vision to develop AI solutions for public health challenges including TB detection, maternal health screening, and pest surveillance in agriculture. This is mission-driven work where your models directly improve lives.

You will work with world-class researchers and global health organizations to build deployable AI models for low-resource settings in India, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Publications and research contributions are encouraged and supported.

Build computer vision models for medical imaging and health screening
Optimize models for deployment on low-powered edge devices
Collaborate with healthcare workers and NGOs to validate model outputs

3-6 years of ML/computer vision research or engineering experience
Strong Python programming with PyTorch or TensorFlow
Experience with object detection, segmentation, or medical image analysis
Knowledge of model compression and edge deployment (ONNX, TFLite)
Research publications in CVPR, MICCAI, or similar are a plus
Genuine passion for social impact through AI

Research and develop computer vision models for health applications
Build and optimize models for mobile and edge deployment
Collaborate with clinicians and field workers on data collection and validation
Publish research findings and present at global AI for Good conferences
Mentor junior researchers and data scientists
