Paytm is hiring a Data Platform Engineer to build the Delta Lake-based data lakehouse architecture serving 300M+ users' financial data across payments, lending, and insurance products.
You will design petabyte-scale data systems enabling real-time fraud detection, credit scoring, and personalisation at Paytm's massive scale.
- 5+ years data engineering
- Apache Spark and Delta Lake expertise
- Apache Flink for real-time streaming
- Kafka for event-driven data pipelines
- AWS or GCP cloud data services
- dbt for data modelling
- Strong Python and SQL
- Design and build petabyte-scale Delta Lake pipelines
- Lead migration of Hive tables to Delta Lake format
- Build Flink real-time pipelines for fraud and credit features
- Optimise Spark jobs for cost and performance
- Mentor junior data engineers on lakehouse best practices
- Write data quality monitoring and alerting systems
