Zomato's Data Platform team is hiring a Data Engineer to build real-time analytics pipelines that power delivery ETA predictions, surge pricing, and restaurant ranking for 80M+ monthly users.
You will work on Flink and Kafka streaming systems processing billions of events daily from delivery partners, customers, and restaurants.
- 3–5 years data engineering experience
- Apache Flink or Apache Spark Structured Streaming
- Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams
- Python and PySpark for batch pipelines
- AWS: S3, Kinesis, Redshift, and Glue
- dbt for data modelling
- Strong SQL fundamentals
- Build Flink streaming pipelines for real-time delivery analytics
- Develop Kafka consumers for delivery partner event processing
- Maintain Redshift data warehouse and dbt models
- Implement data quality monitoring and SLA alerting
- Support data scientists with real-time feature pipelines
- Optimise Flink job resource utilisation
