Zerodha is hiring a Backend Engineer for the Trading Engine team to build the order management, market data distribution, and position management systems that handle millions of daily trade orders for 15M+ active stock market investors.
- 4–6 years backend engineering with Go or C++ experience
- Low-latency systems engineering for financial trading applications
- FIX protocol and exchange connectivity understanding
- SEBI co-location and algo trading compliance awareness
- Kafka for market data event streaming
- Memory-optimised data structures for high-frequency order processing
- Build order management system (OMS) for equity, F&O, and commodity trading
- Develop market data distribution infrastructure for 15M+ clients
- Design position management and real-time P&L calculation systems
- Implement FIX protocol connectivity to NSE and BSE co-location
- Optimise order processing latency to sub-millisecond
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests for trading systems
