BrowserStack is hiring a Backend Engineer to write Rust code powering the browser orchestration and sandboxing engine that runs 30M+ test sessions monthly for the world's top tech companies.
This is a rare opportunity to write safe, high-performance Rust on a globally-used developer infrastructure platform.
- 3+ years Rust development in production
- Systems programming: memory safety, ownership, lifetimes
- Linux kernel and system calls familiarity
- Docker and container sandbox technologies
- Async Rust with Tokio
- C++ interoperability experience
- Build browser orchestration and isolation systems in Rust
- Optimise test session startup and teardown latency
- Write comprehensive Rust unit and integration tests
- Debug low-level performance and memory issues
- Contribute to BrowserStack open-source tooling
- Review code from platform team engineers
