Clarisights is hiring a Backend Developer with Ruby on Rails expertise to build and scale the data ingestion and query processing platform used by global marketing teams. Clarisights processes billions of marketing events from 100+ ad platforms for brands like Booking.com and HelloFresh.

The team is small, international, and very high in ownership — you will make meaningful contributions from week one. Ruby expertise combined with a data engineering mindset is what we are looking for.

Build Rails-based APIs and data ingestion pipelines for marketing analytics
Optimize query performance for multi-dimensional marketing datasets
Develop integrations with 100+ marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok)

2-5 years of Ruby on Rails backend development experience
Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL
Experience with background job processing (Sidekiq, Delayed::Job)
Knowledge of REST API design and third-party API integration
Familiarity with Redis for caching
Understanding of data analytics or marketing technology is a plus

Build and maintain Rails API endpoints for the Clarisights platform
Develop connectors for new marketing platform data sources
Optimize database queries for large marketing datasets
Write comprehensive tests and maintain code quality
Participate in product planning and contribute to technical roadmap
