Razorpay is looking for a passionate Backend Developer with strong Python/Django expertise to join our payments infrastructure team. You will help build the financial backbone that processes billions of rupees in transactions every day.
Our backend systems require extreme reliability, low latency, and fault tolerance. You will work alongside world-class engineers on distributed systems that handle peak loads during major sale events.
- Design RESTful APIs consumed by merchants and mobile apps
- Build robust data pipelines for financial transaction processing
- Ensure PCI-DSS compliance in all services you build

- 3-6 years of backend development with Python and Django or DRF
- Strong knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB)
- Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Understanding of microservices and distributed systems
- Knowledge of payment gateways or fintech domain preferred
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Design, develop, and maintain high-throughput payment APIs
- Optimize database queries and application performance
- Build and maintain internal developer tools and dashboards
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
