Automation QA Engineer - Playwright
BrowserStack is hiring an Automation QA Engineer with Playwright expertise to test the BrowserStack platform itself — the world's largest cloud testing infrastructure. You will build test automation frameworks that validate BrowserStack's core features including live testing, automated testing, and app testing products.
This is a unique role where QA engineers use the BrowserStack platform to test BrowserStack. You will have deep access to cutting-edge test automation tooling and contribute to quality processes for a product used by 50,000+ developers globally.
- Build Playwright-based automation suites for BrowserStack product features
- Test cross-browser and cross-device testing workflows on BrowserStack infrastructure
- Develop API test automation for BrowserStack's public developer APIs
- 2-5 years of test automation experience
- Strong Playwright or Cypress skills with JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience testing SaaS products across multiple browsers
- API testing skills using Postman or REST libraries
- Understanding of CI/CD integration for test suites
- Knowledge of BrowserStack or similar cross-browser testing platforms is a plus
- Design and implement Playwright automation suites for BrowserStack product areas
- Build cross-browser compatibility tests for BrowserStack web app
- Develop REST API automation tests for developer-facing APIs
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines on GitHub Actions
- Report quality metrics and trends to engineering leadership
