MakeMyTrip is hiring an Associate Data Scientist to work on pricing intelligence, demand forecasting, and customer personalization models for India's largest online travel platform. You will build ML models that help MMT offer the right price at the right time to the right traveller.
This is an excellent early-career opportunity for candidates with strong statistical foundations who want to apply data science in the exciting domain of travel and hospitality.
- Build hotel and flight demand forecasting models using historical booking data
- Develop dynamic pricing recommendation models for MMT's hotel inventory
- Build customer segmentation and churn prediction models for traveller retention
- 0-2 years of data science or ML engineering experience
- Strong Python skills with scikit-learn, XGBoost, and pandas
- Solid SQL proficiency for large dataset manipulation
- Good understanding of supervised and unsupervised ML algorithms
- Knowledge of statistical testing and experimental design
- Travel or e-commerce domain interest is a plus
- Build ML models for pricing, demand forecasting, and personalization
- Preprocess, clean, and analyze large travel booking datasets
- Evaluate model performance and iterate on improvements
- Present model results and insights to product stakeholders
- Document model design and maintain model registry
