An Android developer responsible for building and maintaining Android applications across a wide range of devices, ensuring compatibility with multiple Android versions and screen sizes. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional engineers, integrating backend services via REST APIs, and delivering high‑performance, reliable code.
- Translate designs and wireframes into high‑quality code
- Design, build, and maintain high‑performance, reusable, and reliable Java/Kotlin code
- Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK and Android Studio
- Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android apps to backend services
- Proficient in Git and continuous integration pipelines
- Understanding of offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with push notifications and cloud messaging APIs
- Knowledge of Android UI design principles and best practices
